Meet the founder


I'm  Linda Reddin

It can be lonely at the top! Competing priorities and being in the thick of things can prevent seeing the big picture and making bad decisions. My job is to help you find clarity, build your Leadership Foundation from the ground up. You'll learn new habits to help you see clearly, work smarter, use different approaches and compelling words to get the outcomes you need to succeed. 

My Background

I began my working career in banking. After finding myself single with two half-grown sons, I transformed my job as an Accounting Clerk into a fast-track career. With hard work, self-study, and luck, I proved my capability to meet and exceed sales expectations. After a four-year stint in Ireland, I returned to Canada to accept my first Bank Manager role with a recently merged credit union within seven years of my career.

The Role that Changed Everything

The Challenge

The Branch Manager role was to launch the first flagship branch for the recently formed company. The position demanded someone who could lead an untested sales and service platform with a brand new team. Expectations for the branch expansion tripled, but staff complement was lean. Corporate training programs were not yet available, and the employees were green. 

What Happened

In the beginning, I took every loan, mutual fund appointment and trained employees in-between. I also worked before/after hours and on weekends to complete paperwork, reports and build relationships within the community to expand our market share. During this five year tenure, the branch exceeded results in all areas including revenue, customer satisfaction and efficiency.

Competent Team Members

As a result of my efforts, I became so skilled at developing others that our branch became the place to find, promote or move employees to other struggling locations.

A New Career Path Opened

In the meantime, I discovered how supportive coaching was as a client and rewarding as a coach. Ready to retire my role as the region's unofficial trainer, coaching became my passion and calling.

I left the role in January 2009 to commit 100% to my training at Royal Roads University and became a Certified Executive Coach. After completing the program, I also trained and became a licensed facilitator for SDI™ Relationship Intelligence in Q3 2009. Shortly thereafter, A Strategic Edge Coaching was born. 

Our History


Since October 2009, A Strategic Edge Coaching has helped busy managers and small business owners find clarity and direction to become better leaders and create balance in their lives.

Communication skills, verbal or written, are Linda's specialty. Through one-on-one coaching, she has helped struggling managers find their voice and elevate their purpose. As a licensed facilitator for SDI™, Linda delivered practical communication skills workshops for company teams and entrepreneurs in the community.

On October 31, 2013 Linda's experience awarded her a PCC designation with the ICF.

Fast Forward to 2019

Over the years, Linda learned that reliable results came from building a solid leadership foundation from the ground up; thus, Leadership Foundations Program was born.

The Leadership Foundations program begins with the most critical leadership skill- communication. The Relationship Builder Course – Communication Skills for Leaders is a core component of the program or a standalone course. The program expands into the five practices of outstanding leaders as outlined in the book Legacy Leadership by .

The Pandemic of 2020 - Health & Wellness 

With the global upheaval of 2020, Linda reinforced health and well-being as essential for leadership effectiveness and meeting the demands of a corporate athlete in a VUCA world.

A yoga instructor since 2016, Linda has expanded her corporate offerings to share simple meditations, lifestyle guidance on diet, exercise and yoga for a healthy body, healthy mind.

New Developments

Over the years, we've noticed a need to provide practical training on a broader scale and in greater depth. Coming in spring 2021 is the launch of our online training program - set your own pace and place to learn.
